New qualifications available for support staff in the Health and Social Care sector
The BSW Academy and Wiltshire College & University Centre are delighted to offer a new qualification for support staff (clinical and non-clinical) across the Health and Social Care sector.
BSW Higher Development Award
Level 1
- Certificate in Personal Development
- Can include a workplace project
- Online/blended
Level 2
- Certificate in Team Leading
- Blended
Level 3
- Certificate in Leadership and Management (coaching) - ILM
- Blended
Please note: Functional Skills Maths and English, and Functional IT/Digital ESOL may be required depending on the course you choose.
What does the Higher Development Award include?
- Personalised assessment and development route across a number of qualifications
- Qualifications; Numeracy and Literacy, Digital Skills, Team Leading (L2), Leadership and Management (L3)
- All Level 1 and 2 qualifications are fully funded - cost for Level 3 (£724 - covered by employer)
- Functional Skills/Digital etc., are roll on/roll off - can be completed alongside/before/after
- Provides professional development for support roles to enable best support and skills in existing roles
- Provides a practical, short route to achieving essential qualifications to enable progression
