Wiltshire College & University Centre would like to congratulate all Level 3 students on their achievements following the release of academic and vocational results this morning.
For some students, exams were once again cancelled this summer and replaced with grades decided by lecturers, with a combination of mock exams, coursework and essays used to assess students.
Overall, students had a pass rate of 98.8%, while 39.1% of students achieved the top Distinction grade and 71.6% of students achieved either Merit or Distinction.
College Principal and CEO Iain Hatt said: “On behalf of all staff at the College, I would like to congratulate all of our Level 3 students for everything they have achieved this year.
“This past academic year has been particularly challenging but students have shown determination, perseverance and hard work throughout, making their accomplishments all the more commendable.
“Whether our students now intend to continue their studies, either on Higher Education courses at the College or at university elsewhere, are moving into employment, are starting an apprenticeship or are planning something completely different, we wish them every success for the future.”
The College now looks forward to GCSE results day on Thursday, August 12th and would like to wish students across Wiltshire and beyond the very best of luck.
