Wiltshire College & University Centre is to host an Employer Engagement Event aimed at Health and Social Care organisations and is inviting all businesses from the sector within the county to attend.
The event is aimed at showcasing the College’s range of apprenticeship courses in this important sector and allow employers to gain an understanding of how utilising an apprenticeship can benefit their business.
The event takes place on Friday, 28th October from 9.30am-1.30pm at the College’s Trowbridge campus.
The College is also the largest provider of apprenticeships in the region and runs a number of training programmes in the Health and Social Care sector.
Rose Hitchman, Head of Faculty – Health & Life Sciences at the College said: “The College runs a wide range of courses in the Health and Social Care and many of our students have gone onto forge successful careers in the industry. So many people rely on the Health and Social Care sector every day and a career in the industry is extremely rewarding.
“Gaining an understanding of the workplace environment is vital in developing the next generation of doctors, nurses and carers. The College is keen to meet with employers and organisations in Wiltshire to discuss building new partnerships and how we can create opportunities for students to gain important workplace experience in the industry.”
The Employer Engagement Event will include a tour of the campus facilities, discussions with Health and Social Care staff and students, introductions to courses and partnership opportunities and a networking session, and lunch will be provided.
