The Year 5 and 6 children were amazed at how much work goes into growing plants and keeping them alive and enjoyed a tour or the garden and greenhouses.
They also walked around the campus keeping an eye out for many different animals including peacocks and wallabies before spending some of the afternoon at Notton Farm meeting the lambs.
At the end of their trip, the pupils were treated to a tractor and trailer ride back to school!
Oak class teacher Ashleigh Whitbread said: “The children were delighted to be given plants from the staff at Lackham and have been looking after them.
“They also lovingly gave them names!
“The really enjoyed the coppicing and said returning to school on the tractor made them feel famous as the whole school came out to see them arrive!”
