The Care Academy focuses on training and developing high-quality health care workers at all levels across a spectrum of intermediate, advanced and specialist practitioners. We provide bespoke programmes of suitable qualifications for individual businesses, as well as independent needs.
The College has launched the Care Academy to help fill the lack of trained care workers within the South West. This opportunity will be open to unemployed people, current carers and those hoping to train to advanced or specialist standards.
Our main aim is to work with local employers to help fill the shortage of care workers in the area and assist people in forging new careers in the care industry. We will work hard to ensure that all students receive a broad range of meaningful, relevant and hands-on opportunities to equip them with the skills required to work within this field.
All training consists of classroom-based vocational training and updates, as well as online courses. We also deliver ESOL courses in the workplace for those whose first language is not English.
