Military Families

Tailored training for family members

We recognise the valuable role that families play in supporting our Armed Forces personnel, but we also acknowledge the disruption that life as a military family can have on education and employment in general.

Project JEMS

Project JEMS (Jobs & Education for Military Families South West) is an innovative project involving a partnership between Army Headquarters South West, Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire College & University Centre, with the support of the Army Families Federation (AFF), Career Transition Partnership (CTP), Careers Advisory Service (CAS) & Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The aim of the project is to assist spouses and children of military personnel by offering tailored training for employment where there are likely to be vacancies and skills shortages. To help us do this, please take a few minutes to complete the Project JEMS survey.

Members of the Adult Careers Advisory Team regularly visit locations within the Salisbury Plain Super Garrison to offer free impartial advice & guidance to military wives, partners and dependants over 19 years of age.
