Course Overview
The course is designed to help those who need support and basic understanding of different IT skills used in everyday life.
What will I learn?
You will build your confidence and gain the knowledge of different aspects of using software that can also be used on your mobile devices.
These topics of understanding are:
Internet and Safety
Understanding the importance of WiFi passwords, online banking and Social Media.
Outlook
Creating, attaching files and sending emails and understanding the different recipients’ buttons along with setting up out of office responses.
Word
Understanding different layouts and fonts and how to set up headers and footers and inserting pictures.
Excel
Basic spreadsheet on formulas and creating graphs to include managing basic home finance in one place.
Teams
Understanding how to use video calls and other functions within teams
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor. There is no formal qualification or assessment.

The course will run for one day per week for six weeks at the Chippenham campus on

To be eligible for the fundable programme, you must be aged 19+ and in receipt of benefit or on a low wage income and must have lived in the UK for the last three years.
