Course Overview
The Basic Maths: Multiply programme will give you the confidence and upskill in various maths topics. You’ll gain knowledge by building basic numeracy maths skills that you use in everyday life situations such as banking, shopping, money, utility bills. DIY projects, cooking, gardening, driving, holidays, self-employment/business, childcare costs, maths games or travel. With the topics covered being tailored to your learning group’s needs.
What will I learn?
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly and supportive environment and will gain knowledge by building basic numeracy maths skills in:
· What are basic math skills,
· fractions and decimals,
· visual representation of data,
· determining time estimates,
· addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and
· percentages.
You will gain individual support. We will discuss and agree with you some key targets, for example working with number, measurements, money and everyday problem solving.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
Entry Requirements
You must be a Wiltshire resident and not hold a L2 qualification to be eligible for multiply funding.
Additional Costs and Information
We offer flexible learning options so you can decide what works best for you. The options are in-person at our Chippenham, Salisbury or Trowbridge campus. Alternatively, you can learn virtually with one of our tutors online.
