Course Overview
This course will help learners who may be new to the care sector who may want to understand more about working in health and social care and aims to introduce some basic concepts of caring and preparation for employment in the sector.
What will I learn?
The course aims to introduce knowledge around the following areas:
Introduction to ESL care
Understanding cultural differences
Addressing language barriers
Building confidence and self-esteem
Creating inclusive learning spaces
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course lecturer. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.

To be eligible for the Free fundable programme, you must be aged 19+ who are in receipt of benefit or on a low wage income and must have lived in the UK for the last three years.
