Course Overview
If you love flowers and want to learn more together with gaining new skills in the floral world, this course is ideal.You may have some experience in the world of flowers, or just want to learn a few tips and tricks of the industry. The course is relaxed and informal with sessions designed to help grow your knowledge and gain confidence in your floral new skills.Learning how to create a simple hand tie for a gift, or to make an arrangement for the home or a special occasion. You will work though easy to create designs, understanding the theory behind the design and learn a few fun facts on flowers and foliage.
What will I learn?

- Elements of floral design – texture, line, space, colour, form
- Learn a range of flower identifications
Practical:
- Table posy
- Hand tie bouquet
- Line arrangement
- Compact hand tie
- Front facing arrangement
- Arrangement into chicken wire
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.

Additional Costs and Information
You should bring with you:
- Each week students will be given a handout on flowers and foliage required for the following session – together with any materials, containers or sundries
- Tools- scissors/ knife and bucket
