Course Overview

This course is a progression from our popular Flower School Beginners course in floristry.We will explore more advanced floral designs and techniques to support your style and creativity. Working on larger scale design and bespoke bridal work.This course will help to look at how we can progress your floral career, exploring marketing and social media to enhance your business.

What will I learn?

Elements of floral design (recap)
Principles of floral design- Balance, contrast, dominance, harmony, proportion, rhythm, scale
Learning plant science, photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration and osmosis
Learning a further range of flower and foliage for identification

Practical topics:
- Hand tie design
- Bridal hand tie
- Buttonholes
- Long and low table arrangement into foam
- Asymmetrical hand tie
- Large pedestal arrangement

Entry Requirements

Progression from Flower School - Beginners course is suggested to ensure that you have learnt the necessary skills to get the most from this course.

Additional Costs and Information

A list of flowers you should bring with you each week will be given to you by the tutor. However, the flowers will be provided for those eligible for a fundable course.

You may be asked to bring sundries such as vase etc where necessary.
Each week please bring with you: scissors/knife and bucket.

12.05.25-23.06.25 Mondays 18:30-21:00
