Course Overview
A Manufacturing Operative is expected to carry out work safely and meet quality standards in a processing environment and develop into a multi-skilled operator. They will be required to carry out manufacturing activities on multiple products with different specificationsThey will be required to prepare, control and complete operations, and follow processes and standard operating procedures whilst adhering to safe working practices. They will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety and using the correct equipment and tooling, safe stopping and resetting of machinery and maintaining the work area. They’ll contribute to, develop and support improvement in the manufacturing operation using improvement methods and be responsible for quality checks throughout the operations to ensure quality is built in.

Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (Knowledge & Skills)
Entry Requirements
Maths and English Language at Grade 3 or above
Apprentices are required to undertake a skills assessment as part of the application

This work based apprenticeship does not require college attendance. Knowledge and skills are developed in the workplace with the support of College Assessors and work mentors
