Course Overview
Whether you’re a performer or you love the technical side of music production, our music courses will help you develop the skills, knowledge and techniques to go far in this competitive industry and develop as an artist. Our courses are designed for more than just traditional musicians: sound engineers, DJs, rappers, electronic music producers, game audio producers and event organisers are all welcome. This Level 2 qualification is a Diploma in Music production and Performance. It is a one-year, full-time course, suited for people aged 16-18 and mature students wishing to gain vocational experience or progress onto a Level 3 music course. You’ll take part in collaborative and individual project work, taking on typical industry roles and completing a work experience portfolio with employers as part of your study programme.
What will I learn?
This qualification will give you a solid introduction to skills from a number of vocational areas, such as music production, business, technology and performance, with the opportunity to focus on a specialist subject in assignments.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
This course has no formal exams; assessments are instead based on the development of practical coursework and portfolio materials.
Entry Requirements
• 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, including English and maths (or equivalent).
• A successful interview.
What Could I Do Next?
Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll be able to progress onto a Level 3 course in your chosen area, such as our UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production.
