Residential bursaries are available for applicants who meet residency criteria set out in the ESFA Funding Regulations for post-16 provision and are enrolling on a Further Education Course funded by the ESFA or a course which you are paying for with an Advanced Learner Loan.
Further criteria applies:
- Household income below £65,000 gross per year
- Studying a substantial course in Agriculture, Animal Care, Countryside, Equine or Horticulture at Lackham.
- Must not be able to access the same course within a reasonable travelling distance from where you live.
- Must live outside a reasonable travelling distance to the Lackham or Chippenham campus.
The residential bursary provides financial support towards accommodation costs at our Lackham Campus.
The amount of support you may receive will depend on your financial circumstances and the amount of bursary funds available.
Applications for residential bursaries will only be considered after you have been offered a place on an eligible course and applied for your accommodation.
Residential bursaries are not available for Apprentices or Higher Education (University Level) students.
Decisions about the amount of support awarded to successful applicants will depend on your individual financial circumstances and an assessment of financial needs. You must inform us immediately of any changes in income.
After we have received your completed application form and started the assessment process, we will contact you to request evidence of your financial circumstances.
You will be notified of the amount of your award when we have completed the assessment.
Bursary funds are limited so priority will be given to students with the greatest financial need.
The College has the right to reclaim any funding if the student is found to have provided incorrect information, is subject to any part of the college’s disciplinary process or attendance falls below the expected standards.
